After a night of peaceful rest
There was a stirring inside my chest
When I opened my eyes to see
It was my friend my love to be
She was still sleeping quietly
While I studied her privately
Such lovely thoughts in my mind
As I followed her every line
So gently I touched her with my hand
I needed to feel to understand
For in our life we need to see
That is how we begin to believe
What will bring you out of the dark
Is the love you share with another heart
So with my eyes I began to see
This vision of beauty lying next to me
What will be our journey as we go
